Email Destination

Send approved form submissions directly to your email inbox

Overview

The Email destination sends approved form submissions directly to your email inbox. This is the simplest way to receive notifications when legitimate submissions come through your forms.

Setting Up Email Destination

  1. Navigate to your form's settings
  2. Click on "Destinations" in the left sidebar
  3. Select "Email" from the available destination types
  4. Enter the email address where you want to receive submissions
  5. Click "Save"

How It Works

When a submission is approved by the AI filter:

  1. Filter Forms analyzes the submission against your AI instructions
  2. If approved, the submission is immediately sent to your configured email address
  3. The email contains all form field values in an easy-to-read format
  4. You receive the notification within seconds of the approved submission

Email Format

Each email includes:

  • Subject: Form submission notification with form name
  • From: noreply@filterforms.com
  • Body:
    • Submission timestamp
    • All form field labels and values
    • Link to view submission in Filter Forms dashboard

Multiple Email Addresses

You can add multiple email destinations to send submissions to different team members or departments:

  1. Click "Add Destination" in your form settings
  2. Add another Email destination with a different address
  3. All configured email addresses will receive approved submissions

Best Practices

  • Use a dedicated email address or folder for form submissions
  • Set up email filters to organize submissions by form name
  • Consider using team email addresses (e.g., sales@company.com) for shared access
  • Monitor your spam folder if you don't receive expected submissions

Troubleshooting

Not receiving emails?

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify the email address is correct in your destination settings
  • Whitelist noreply@filterforms.com in your email client
  • Check your email provider's filtering rules

Emails delayed?

  • Most emails arrive within seconds, but some email providers may have delays
  • Check the submission timestamp in your Filter Forms dashboard to verify when it was approved
